Dell has released the M110 Ultra Mobile Projector, a new Personal Companion model that replaces the older M109S. The new DLP projector produces 300 Lumens at WXGA (1,280×800) resolution with 10,000:1 contrast ratio. The M110 features HDMI, Component, and Composite Video inputs. The built-in Personal Media Player (PMP) can display files in popular image, video and office formats from an SD card or USB flash drive. The M110’s USB port supports the USB Display standard for projecting video from computers and other devices. Computers, cell phones and other devices can also be connected via an optional WiFi dongle that supports WiFi Direct and DLNA. The M110 is currently available at a retail price of US$499.
In recent months, PMA’s projector market research has revealed significant performance and feature improvements in the personal segment of the New Era market.
