Taiwanese computer and projector manufacturer Acer announced the K330 personal projector. The new model uses a DLP based optical engine to produce 500 lumens at WXGA (1,280×800) resolution with 5,000:1 contrast ratio. In addition to HDMI, USB, miniUSB and composite video inputs, the K330 features a built-in personal media player (PMP) to display content from an SD card or a USB flash drive. It is not known if the K330 will replace Acer’s existing entry in this market segment, the K11, or if the two will coexist. Pricing and availability were not disclosed.
