At CES 2012, 3M introduced the MP410 personal projector. 3M, who has always used LCOS imagers for their pico projectors, chose a Wide XGA (1,280×768) DLP imager, producing 300 lumens and weighing 1 lb. The 2GB Personal Media Player (PMP), SD card slot and USB port to display popular image, video and office files. VGA and HDMI ports enable connection to PC’s and other devices. 3M also offers a wireless USB devices that enables wireless display from laptops and other mobile devices.
PMA’s projector market research has followed 3M’s introductions of pico projectors since the MPro110, but this is the first non-LCOS New Era projector 3M has introduced.
