Newline Interactive introduced their TRUTOUCH VN Series of interactive displays at InfoComm 2017. These multi-function displays were designed for better collaboration in higher-education classrooms, seminar rooms and corporate meeting rooms. The new VN series features a more responsive IR touch technology for a smoother writing experience. The screens can be written on with a non-proprietary stylus as thin as 3 mm or a finger and erased with a hand.
The TRUTOUCH VN series allows users to personalize the interface on its built-in operating system. This feature allows users to select which tools are visible on the home screen and allows the unneeded ones to be cleared for a clutter-free look. With the optional TRUCAST wireless presentation system, the display can be used as a BYOD collaborative discussion board as various users can interact with the display through their own device.
The TRUTOUCH VN series displays are designed to be easily installed with a 75kg weight and a slim frame. They are designed for convenience with a wide variety of front, back and side interface ports to support connectivity to other devices, including 4 HDMI ports, 4 USB ports and a DisplayPort.
The series comes in 65”, 75” and 86” screen sizes. The displays have optically bonded screens to eliminate the gap between the surface glass and the display, resulting in a 178° viewing angle. The anti-glare and anti-fingerprint glass combined with the display’s 4K Ultra HD resolution help to provide clear images.
PMA Research, a market analyst firm covering the display industry, has reported that year-to-date sales of 4K UHD interactive displays through July 2017 have nearly tripled on average across multiple sales channels compared to the corresponding time period in 2016.
