Sony has announced a new professional model to their Bravia line, the FWD43X830C, which incorporates their new 4K X-Reality™ PRO chip, designed to enhance HD (or lower resolution) images by analyzing and refining them. Sony claims the 43″ 4K Ultra HD display enhances the quality of a picture to four times clearer than regular HD1, and adds more depth and shades of color.
With four times more resolution than Full HD, the 4K Ultra HD screen contains over 8 million individual pixels for a native resolution of 3840 x 2160. The FWD43X830C also utilizes Sony’s TRILUMINOS backlight technology.
Geared towards Digital Signage applications, this new Pro Bravia display offers HTML 5 support, Built in WiFi, and Smartphone screen mirroring w/NFC connections. It is also 3D capable and comes standard with 4 pairs of 3D glasses. Also included is Sony’s TV SideView App for control.
Analyst firm PMA Research follows the Professional Flat Panel Display market and compiles monthly tracking data of sales of large-format displays through the Distribution and Pro AV channels.
