Leyard and Planar have expanded their line of Planar® VM Series LCD video wall displays with four new models. Featuring a choice of tiled bezel widths ranging from 3.5-millimeter down to 0.88-millimeter, screen sizes in 49-inch or 55-inch and brightness at either 500-nit or 700-nit, the new models all provide Full HD resolution and 24×7 performance for mission-critical video wall applications.
Two of the new models are offered with a new 49-inch screen size. One of these is the Planar VM49MX-X which offers 700-nit brightness and a tiled bezel width of 1.8 millimeters. The other is the Planar VM49LX-U which offers 500-nit brightness and a 3.5-milimeter tiled bezel width. The other two new models have a 55-inch screen size and a tiled bezel width of only 0.88 millimeter. These include the Planar VM55MX-M with 700-nit brightness for high ambient light environments and the VM55LX-M with 500-mit brightness for slightly dimmer viewing environments.
All four of the new Planar VM series models are ENERGY STAR® 8.0 certified. The Planar VM Series offers a high performance video wall solution for digital signage applications in retail, hospitality, universities, sports bars, corporate lobbies, casinos and museums. The four new models in the Planar VM Series product line will begin shipping this summer.
Other features that all of the models in the VM Series offer include: IPS technology for wide viewing angles and contrast, fanless design, built-in video wall scaling to support up to 10×10 configurations, multiple daisy-chain signal support, OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) slot, and landscape or portrait orientation.
