Earlier this year, NEC Display Solutions acquired German-based S[quadrat], a provider of high-end LED display systems. This acquisition has enabled NEC to further develop its LED display solutions and offerings. Two of these new solutions are the indoor direct view LED F-Series and Q-Series.
NEC’s Direct View LED is a video display technology that uses Light Emitting Diodes to produce the red, blue and green colors typically found in a full color video display. Because the LED’s are an emissive light technology, they provide images that are brighter and higher in contrast than traditional LCD displays.
NEC’s indoor direct view LED video displays provide bright (from 800 to 6000 nit), high contrast (up to 3000:1) images in brightly lit backgrounds at nearly any viewing distance. The modular, light-weight, cost-effective design provide content visualization solutions for auditoriums, reception areas, retail stores, control and meeting rooms, museums, broadcast studios and airports or train stations. As a total solution provider, NEC also offers full design, installation and support services.
The F-Series and Q-Series displays both provide clear images for an impactful visual experience with 16 to 18-bit color processing and color-matched LEDs. The NEC F-Series indoor fine pitch dvLED displays have pixel spacing options of 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 1.9mm, 2.3mm, 2.7mm and 3.8mm and the Q-Series indoor dvLED displays have pixel spacing options of 2.8mm, 3.9mm and 4.8mm. This range of pixel pitches can provide HD, FHD or UHD display resolution for a variety of viewing distances and a 16:9 aspect ratio for simple content creation. The front and rear serviceable panels allow for easy access and quick maintenance when needed.
