LG has introduced two new models into its portfolio of digital signage displays designed for video walls, the 55SVH7F and the 55SVH7PF. The 55SVH7F is the new model sequential to the SSSVH7E. The most notable upgrades from the E to F version of this model include the smart calibration capability and the panel technology from IPS to IPS RGB. Both 55SVH7F and 55SVH7PF models offer:
The smart calibration function analyzes and exchanges data between the connected displays to adjust brightness for uniformity and optimizes it for the surrounding environment. The smart calibration saves time and money compared to manual calibration because the screens can be easily calibrated by remote control rather than by technicians using sensors.
Further, the 55SVH7PF model (which has no direct predecessor) has an optional external power box to ensure uninterrupted power supply. The external power box contains four hot-swappable power modules that operate as a power redundancy system in the event of a power failure. This provides an additional layer of reliability protection for mission critical applications. The 55SVH7PF model also has an increased haze anti-glare surface treatment which reduces interfering light reflection under bright conditions.
LG was the first brand to offer panels with 0.44mm even bezels beginning with the 55SVH7E model first introduced earlier in 2019. According to PMA Research, the market data experts for large-format displays, LG Electronics remained the best-selling brand for 0.44mm even bezels displays through August 2019. Though, more recently, NEC and Planar have also launched competing 0.44mm even bezel models.
