Christie invites users to experience a robust and flicker-free Active 3D experience at 60Hz per eye with Christie MicroTiles LED Active 3D. This option will be debuted at the Christie booth at ISE 2020. This high-end display application is designed to enhance visualization and collaborative design processes in industries such as aerospace, automotive, military simulation and theme parks. It’s available as an option with 1.25mm MicroTile LED models when combined with the Christie Link E1000-3D video wall controller and Active 3D glasses. With integrated Christie Terra SDVoE technology and Christie MicroTiles LED design flexibility, the display can be customized to suit, from CAVEs (Cave Automatic Virtual Environments) and digital signage to control rooms.
Christie® MicroTiles® LED are small, proprietary, cabinet-free Click-n-Go™ LED tiles that can be arranged in near-limitless ways including 90-degree inside/outside corners and concave or convex curves. The innovative ADA-compliant QuickMount™ system allows the display to be built in virtually any shape or size.
The proprietary QuickMount system uses custom mounting templates, laser-cut steel mounting sheets and machined wall anchors to eliminate any alignment challenges. Once the sheet is mounted, the small size and light weight of the cabinet-free tiles reduces installation complexity while saving space and increasing flexibility. With Click-n-Go magnetic LED tiles, populating the display can be done quickly.
Superior visual quality is achieved through 12-bit input sources, 4K@120Hz and HDR capability and up to 14-bit grayscale with up to 4-bit integrated image processing. The combination of powerful processing with high-brightness of 1,000 nits and P3 cinema-quality color produces brilliant, true-to-life detail.
The MicroTiles LED WebUI is an intuitive, easy-to-use, web-based control interface that can be accessed from any connected device. Designed with the user in mind, WebUI gives the user total command of display setup, control and management.
Providing 100,000 hours of operational life, the maintenance and servicing of a MicroTiles LED display is minimal. Patented IR Neighbor Detection™ allows individual tiles to automatically detect and self-locate while the sensor-based AutoMatch™ feature automatically matches color and brightness to achieve >97% uniformity across the entire display for the entire operational lifetime. The front-serviceable, hot-swappable tiles give technicians complete access. For added convenience, remote power and control components can be installed in locations away from the video wall removing heat, noise and complexity from the display.
PMA Research, the large-format display experts, reported that one-fourth of the revenues from displays designed for video wall arrangements sold through the U.S. distribution channel were attributed to direct-view LED tiles at the end of 2019.
