Hitachi America, Ltd., Digital Media Division has introduced three interactive flat panel displays for collaborative use in educational and corporate settings. The panels are available in three sizes as follows: a 65-inch FHD model HILF65101 with up to 10 points of simultaneous touch, a 75-inch UHD model HILU75202 with up to 20 points of simultaneous touch and an 86-inch UHD model HILU86101 with up to 10 points of simultaneous touch. Each display includes two magnetic stylus pens to allow users to make notations directly on the screen. In addition to the stylus pens, the displays also ship with a remote control, an HDMI cable, a USB cable, a power cable and a user CD.
The screens are made of anti-glare tempered glass and have a +/- 2mm accuracy on the touch points. Both the 65 and 75-inch displays have an average brightness of 350 nits and the 86-inch display has an average brightness of 410 nits. Each display is built with two front-facing 20W speakers (40W total) to facilitate sound delivery to the audience. The displays are also built with easy access front inputs for HDMI, USB-A (for data) and USB-B (for touch) along with a full array of inputs on the back, including an OPS slot. For versatility, the displays are compatible with both Windows® and Mac OS®.
PMA Research, a leading market analyst firm serving the display industry, reported that sales of interactive flat panel displays through the PC/IT and AV distribution channel grew 40% month-over-month in June 2017.
