BenQ announced the launch of the world’s first digital signage series to achieve a Pantone Validated status. The Smart Signage Series, for professional applications including retail and design, will assure on-screen color fidelity and compatibility with Pantone-qualified color production devices. The first display from the series to be released is the BenQ SL6502K. At 65” diagonal, the display achieves 4K UHD resolution and optimum color performance to captivate viewers.
Producing consistent output colors, the SL6502K offers custom color modes, such as Cinema, Photo, and Mac-Book modes, to give designers additional color adjustment flexibility. Fine-tuned to accentuate motion video, vibrant still images and precision design work, these custom modes help to create impactful content and deliver engaging interactions.
Pantone provides a universal language of color that enables color-critical decisions for brands and manufacturers through every stage of the workflow. The Pantone system helps to define, communicate and control color to achieve consistency across various materials and finishes for graphics, fashion and product design. The SL6502K has the ability to exactly reproduce the full range of these Pantone Matching System (PMS) colors.
Complementing its exceptional 4K UHD and Pantone Validated visual performance, the slim and stylish SL6502K provides world-class capabilities as a self-contained 24/7 all-in-one smart public information display with built-in Android and 500 nits of brightness. Facilitating content creation, the SL6502K includes X-Sign 2.0 content management software with over 150 templates to make it easy for remote users to create, distribute and schedule attention-grabbing custom content.
PMA Research, the sell-through data experts covering the large-format display market, reported that U.S. distribution sales of 65” smart professional displays featuring 4K UHD resolution, 500 nits brightness and 24/7 capability increased 15% year-over-year in September 2019.
