Christie introduced six new 3LCD projectors across two platforms. There are two WXGA models (LW401, and LW551i), and two WUXGA models (LWU421 and LWU501i) which range in brightness from 4000 to 5500 lumens. They feature Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture capabilities, a 20,000 hour hybrid filter, quick-stacking capabilities and digital keystone functionality with 8-point geometry correction allowing for use with curved screens. Optional features include wireless connectivity (through a dongle) and a suite of optional lenses. The “i” models feature a built-in LCD display showing set-up menus and diagnostics.
Rounding out the new 3LCD line up are the LX41 (XGA) and LW41 (WXGA) models with a 2000:1 contrast ratio and 4000+ lumen output. These units also feature a zoom lens, 3D Keystone geometry correction, a multi-PC display option and LAN networking capabilities.
Findings from projector market research company Pacific Media Associates has found that projectors with network and wireless capabilities are growing in popularity.
