Absen recently announced the PL Plus V2X Series, the latest evolution of its Polaris direct-view LED displays for indoor rental and staging applications. Designed with the unique requirements of rental companies, production teams, and system integrators in mind, the new PL Plus V2X Series offers enhanced visual performance, expanded creative flexibility, and improved panel-to-panel consistency. The PL Plus V2X Series has been engineered to meet the demands of live entertainment, corporate events, touring productions and broadcast environments.

The PL Plus V2X Series delivers significant improvements in visual performance, including brightness up to 1,200 nits, contrast ratio of 7000:1, a 95% DCI-P3 wide color gamut and a 120 Hz refresh rate that provides smooth on-camera performance while reducing flicker, even at low brightness levels. The enhancements of the PL Plus V2X Series aims to bring realistic images and dynamic color to live audiences and broadcast applications alike.

Designed to support a wide range of creative display configurations, the PL Plus V2X series supports unlimited horizontal connections and includes flat, curved, L-shaped and flexible panel options that enable event professionals to build custom stages, cubes, immersive environments and architectural LED installations. The PL-C Plus V2X flexible display features a precision gear-driven curvature control mechanism that allows adjustment from -30° to +30° in 1.25° increments, providing 25 settings. A right angle with a 90° arc can be created using just three columns of panels.

When placed on the ground, the PL Plus V2X panels offer automatic edge protection. A protective structure automatically protrudes to shield edge LEDs from damage. When panels are vertically connected, the protective structure retracts and hides seamlessly for added protection during setup and transport.

The PL Plus V2X series is designed for fast, safe, and intuitive operation. Features include modules with safety ropes, a vertical fast-locking system, and a horizontal locking system with a safety button. The auto-magnetic cabinet design snaps into alignment for a quick, one-person setup. The modular design also allows for quick swaps should a panel or power box need service.

Through same-batch LEDs and color-matched mask controls during manufacturing, Absen further improves panel-to-panel uniformity, helping deliver seamless visual performance across large LED canvases.
