Ricoh has launched the UHL3660 ultra-short-throw projector (UST), designed to be used in a range of settings, such as boardrooms, classrooms, museums, live entertainment venues, and home theaters.
This new model incorporates Ricoh glass and Ricoh’s twin laser phosphor technology to deliver 6,500 lumens of brightness. In addition, Ricoh’s OptiBright technology utilizes dual lasers and two phosphor wheels to produce crisp images and the PJ UHL3660 has a 40,000-hour lifespan. A Wall Color mode also optimizes images for non-white surfaces. The PJ UHL3660 has a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and offers HDR capabilities.
Four-way pixel-shifting enables 4K UHD images, while a 0.24:1 throw ratio delivers an 85-inch screen size just 0.4-inches from the wall or screen. At15-inches away from the wall or screen, the maximum images size reaches160-inches.
The UHL3660 has 360-degree mounting options, portrait projection capabilities and multi-image blending. Other features include vertical and horizontal keystone correction, 4-corner and 6-point alignment. There are also a number of presets to simplify setup, including Bright, Standard, Natural, Vivid, and DICOM Sim
Connectivity options include HDMI 2.0, Ethernet LAN, and HDBaseT. The projector supports Miracast for wireless screen-sharing from Windows or Android devices.
The unit is dust-proof to IP6X standards and features a cooling system to continue operation in temperatures as high as 113 °F.
The PJ UHL3660 will sell at an MSRP of $6,000.
