The new Christie Griffyn 4K32-RGB was recently announced at InfoComm Connected and is designed for use theme parks, indoor and outdoor sports venues, and other entertainment venues. With 360-degree orientation capabilities, and rugged design for rental and staging markets, the Griffyn 4K32-RGB includes patented next-generation Trulife+ all-in-one electronics for a blur-free experience, and unrestricted connectivity to eliminate the time and hassle of removable option cards. It features field replaceable RGB laser architecture for easy service and replacement of the laser light source.
The Griffyn 4K32-RGB is Christie’s first projector to offer new digital convergence giving users the ability to select Red, Green, or Blue individually and adjust each color by remote control, for easy and time-saving image alignment. Griffyn 4K32-RGB produces an exceptionally wide color gamut, achieving greater than 96% of the Rec. 2020 color space—more than twice the color of Rec. 709 and 50% more than DCI-P3-capable projectors. It also features optional high frame rate (HFR) capability to achieve 120Hz at 4K resolution or up to 480Hz with HD resolution.
The Griffyn 4K32-RGB offers an ll-in-one, compact design with no external chillers or laser racks and weighs in at a manageable 175 pounds (79.5 kg). It offers up to 34,000 lumens while operating at less than 50dB at full brightness. It can also accept a variety of optional 4K lens options. In addition, the Griffyn comes standard with Christie Twist (built-in image warping and multi-projector blending software), and is compatible with Christie Mystique (automated camera-based alignment software) and supports Christie Guardian (invisible, real-time automatic blended-image correction even when content is playing).
In addition, this new Christie projector has built-in Christie Terra SDVoE connectivity which eliminates the need for any input cards. The Griffyn is the first Christie projector to use Semtech’s BlueRiver® technology By utilizing BlueRiver technology in the SDVoE platform, Christie has leveraged the advantages of Ethernet-based AV communication to create a product with lower latency, stronger performance and scalability when compared to matrix switch systems.
The Christie Griffyn 4K32-RGB projector will ship in the fall of 2020 with a three-year parts and labor warranty.
